Of broken wrists

This week has been quite the week for our family. Monday, Stella decided to take a dive out of her crib and break her wrist. Poor little girl. She will be in a cast for 3-4 weeks, but she hardly notices it's there. She's adjusted really well to using her left arm (she's right handed). We didn't think we'd have to make the bed transition this early, but I guess she had plans of her own!

We are also in the process of purchasing a home. If all goes smoothly, we'd be able to be moved in a month before baby boy is due! It's going to be a lot of work until then, but we're excited for the changes that are around the corner.

And today, we picked up this easel from a garage sale for $15! The other side is a dry-erase board and it has a roll of paper that you can use with it as well for coloring/painting. Stella is a fan!

Chatterbox

I've kept a list of Stella's new words/phrases with the intention of putting them up on our blog, but the list has been growing so quickly! She can pretty much repeat most words and phrases now, but these are some she says on her own:

Cheese "Seeze"
Buh-bye
No WAY
Grampa "Bumpa"
Karyn "Kiki"
Nick "Ni"
Anna "Na"
Elmo "Melmo"
Shoes "Sooze"
Slide  "Siiide"
Keys "Cheese"
Outside "Uh-siiiide"
Socks "Soss"
Caterpillar
Water "Wa"
Duck "Du"
Dog "Da"

"Where'd daddy go?"
"Tewwa go Nigh-nigh"
"I don't know"

If you say "Ready, set..." she says "DOE!"

She calls her jacket a "Buh-bye"
Her white noise machine is called a "Nigh-nigh"

A moment in the sunshine

Update on baby #2

How far along? 6 months

Total weight gain/loss: 1 lb up (after losing 6)
Maternity clothes? I'm steering clear for as long as possible. It's getting difficult, though.

Sleep: I've been sleeping great. I get up once a night and don't have any problems falling back to sleep like I did a few months ago.

Best moment this week: Being able to go on a long walk out in the sunshine.

Food cravings: Seafood. I have to limit myself. =)

Gender: Boy

Movement: Lots of it lately. I can tell he is definitely getting bigger.

What I am looking forward to: Spending more time outside.

What I miss: Feeling hormonally normal.

Words Of Wisdom: No more Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Hello, heartburn.

Milestones: Seeing him move from the outside <3
